I saw video with the four of them and they were great. They're not hurting as a trio though but I would have preferred they stayed a quartet.

I'm mildly surprised there's not more information popping up about this show at this time, 2010 isn't really that far away (as casting/pre-production go) and the only thing I've heard is that should there be a commitment to live music, this show could be very technical/orchestral.

Nothing beyond speculation happening yet...? Anyone...?

I just finally saw that video where Criss mentions the show is harder to pull off than Ka...

Well. He's right.

Even Cirque can't polish a turd apparently.

WHAT an EGO he has!! I remember in Art School, it sorta went without saying that if you have to talk about how awesome your work is, then it's because you're work isn't coming across that way of it's own accord.

I love how at the end he claims there are misconceptions about him - Well dude, if you're hoping to be a successful performer for years to come, you might want to clarify those "misconceptions" up now because really, if you have no time to focus on what's costing you business (in his case, attracting new fans) then what the hell else could you possibly be doing?

As for fans of Criss vs. fans of Cirque - The day we heard of this project, we knew Cirque would be compromised in some manner on purpose. That's why everything prior to this has been largely successful, because Cirque never did "stars". They once gave a reason as being it could detract from a show and they saw no reason to compete onstage with any one individual with a built in fan base.

Of course, that went out the window now. I think Cirque comes out on top though because fans of Cirque will largely not care about Criss and start buying all his merch and watching his shows with any interest... but fans of Criss, will probably be impressed with the elements that are purely Cirque and out of curiosity see the other shows on the strip.

This might come off condescending to Criss Angel fans but... if you thought Criss Angel as awesome, wait till you see Cirque in all it's glory via it's other productions...?

The people of this Forum are generally here because they want to learn more about Cirque du Soleil, and of those that have seen the show and reviewed it here, I have not seen any indication that they expected a "typical" CdS show (whatever that may be these days). In fact, I'm quite sure that they had educated themselves enough to know to NOT expect anything of the sort. The reviews describing the atrocious quality of the show stemmed from the quality of the show itself, not from any misguided speculations of what the show might be like.

I think the act is wonderfull with these three girls. I'm not saying they are better off without the fourth pixie, but with the three of them it looks great.

And of course I've been wondering what happened to the fourth pixie, but I guess there's a good reason she's not with them anymore.

Yea, the ushers were very funny. Is that who you are talking about Trevor? Criss also attempts to throw in some comedy in the show too. I like his illusions better tho. :-p

I see a lot of the repliers here are from various parts of the world, and it makes me wonder. How many have you actually have seen Criss Angel Believe vs. people who just listen to what reviews say. Since there are more Cirque fans here then Criss fans, I'm sure the disappointment comes from expecting the usual Cirque shows. This show was totally different from any other Cirque show so far.

Meth users falling asleep?! LOL. I don't think it was long and boring at all. The show runs about 90 minutes, and I'm sure it take a lot of work to tighten the show to fit into those 90 minutes. I think they did a great job presenting everything in that time.

Yes, this thread is VERY interesting. LOL.

Noddy, You are never too old for contortion. To gain flexibility you can stretch and try some different moves. If you need help there are tons of sites and videos that have tips and tricks for contortion. Hope that helps!

I want to audition as an actress, but I'm not sure if I'm good enough. The last two years I haven't been acting. Simply cause I can't afford it. (When I was younger it was a lot cheaper and m parents would pay for it. Now it costs about 250 euros )
I also wanted to go to drama school, but I didn't audition. I regret it now. I just don't think I'm good enough right now. I think I'm going to look for some acting courses that are cheaper for students. Maybe in a few years I'll be good enough.

I'm also very interested in contortion. I'm just wondering if i'm too old to start contortion. I've read a lot of articles about it. Some say I'm too old (I'm 19 years old), some say you're never too old for contortion. Can anybody tell me something about this? And what should I do to become more flexible and what shouldn't I do?

And koujisama, you're video's are great! I loved watching them!
