During the first 2 weeks of October, you can go to see " Van Binnenuit " in the fashion museum of Antwerp. You can see pictures from behind the scenes at Varekai. More specific, they portray Kevin and Andrew and one day in the life of Irina Naumenko .It's free!

It will be build up at its usual place: the 'Gedempte Zuiderdokken', which is a large parking space along the Waalse & Vlaamse Kaai.

I had prolems to find "Gedempte Zuiderdokken". They aren't in any map.

A few years ago I had the same problem in Berlin cause the "Jahunderthalle", where cirque stayed, isn't in any map cause it is closed since years.

Well, that's because the " gedempte zuiderdokken " is in fact the " Waalse en Vlaamse kaai". The big top is located at the Vlaamse kaai :) ! If you use mappy for example to find the gedempte zuiderdokken, you have to type Vlaamse kaai instead of gedempte zuiderdokken.

Wow! the Gedempte Zuiderdokken are bigger then I thought.
I've seen a pic with a carnaval (like we call it in Dutch 'een kermis') on it.
It was very big, I will be suprised to see the Grand Chapiteau there when I will see the show!

Well that "kermis" is called " de sinksenfoor"
The Gedempte Zuiderdokken is a beautifull location for the chapiteau. It's only one street from a river ( " de schelde") and there are many, yes, many restaurants in the neighberhood of the chapiteau. The gedempte zuiderdokken is located in "het zuid", and " het zuid" is known for it's restaurants. Also, the chapiteau is right in the middle of the historical town of Antwerp. Moreover, Antwerp is know for it's fashion designers and of course, the belgian beer , chocolates and waffles :) ! I think , the weather not included, the artists will have a great time here in Belgium.
There are already sold more than 80.000 tickets before the premiere in about 2,5 weeks!
For those who can read Dutch, there was an intersting article in the newspaper about Nathalie Gagné, last week she was in Antwerp to make some promotion for the exhibition of Varekai in the fashion museum of Antwerp ( untill the 14th of October, it's free). You can see a picture in the article of an Belgian hostess : Nathalie had transformed here in one of the triple trapeze girls from Varekai!

I like the article :D
Wow 505 concepts for Varekai make-up and 55 were ok, that much  :D
And Christophe thanks for the translation I coulden't figure out what the word for 'kermis' was!

In less than three weeks, Varekai will premiere in Antwerp! In fact, due to your astounding response, we've just add an extra week of performances from December 12 to December 16 to our original line-up. If you haven't already done so, I invite you to purchase tickets!

On October 14 if you look to the horizon, you'll no doubt spot the tips of our Grand Chapiteau. Thereafter, and for 8 intense days our "village on wheels" will be assembled. During this time, more than just the Grand Chapiteau will be raised, but also an artistic tent, box office, kitchen, school and Tapis Rouge tent. Even office space for our artistic, technical, public service and tour management staff will be installed.

And that's not all, pick up a copy on the 'De Nieuwsblad' on October 17, which will include a special supplement of amazing pictures from Varekai, information about the show and more!

Last but not least ...Come and try the Varekai's acrobatic game and take your chance to win a duo VIP Experience. As a Cirque Club member, you are starting with a bonus of 100 points. Fun for sure!

À la prochaine!

Wow, that's very good news :o ! The premiere of Varekai is wiil take place in about 2 weeks but they have already ad an extra week of performances. Normally they add this extra week after one or two weeks of performances !
This is the link to the game: http://www.varekaigame.be/index.php?s=1 ... f9e52ee7ba
It's a new one, now it's a game with the russian swings guys!

The sound the flyer makes if you miss is hilarious!

Just purchased last minute tickets for Varekai on the 27th and could only find some in the "restricted view" category (section 202, row O). Does anyone know which acts we might not be able to see that well from those seats ??

Can't wait to see the show again (saw it in New York so its quite a while ago)

I think you'll have a little problem of seeing acts that are performed on the ground but if you move your head a few times you can see everything clear!
Section 202 restricted view is not the worst section you'll only have a big problem with seeing things if you are in section 107, 207, 108 and 208 because there you can't see anything...

I just came back from the " Gedempte Zuiderdokken". It was impressive to see: I have taken a few pictures of the big top set-up.
